Year after year, our small planet called Earth is suffering because of our behavior. I'm not the person to judge, because sometimes I make mistakes too. But maybe I'm doing good because I'm learning from those mistakes and trying to make it better. But, I know one thing. I can do better for everything and everyone, but the world is not going to be changed. So, I was doing a research about air pollution, causes, how dangerous it is, and also how one can be protected from it. I want to share this answers with you.
- WHAT IS AIR POLLUTION DOING TO OUR ORGANISM?
- Air pollution usually attacks respiratory organs and vascular system. It can attack the lowest part of the lungs and it can cause big problem. First attack you can feel is feeling of irritation in your nostrils, it feels itchy and makes you sneeze and block your nose. After nose, it slides down to the lungs. When it sticks there, you can feel heaviness in your chest, coughing, hissing, and heavy breathing. This air pollution will not attack only lungs, it can attack also heart, liver and brain too.
- WHAT MAKES AIR POLLUTION?
- Sulfur oxide - causes asthma and lung disease.
- Carbon monoxide - it's colorless, but dangerous. It's takes away the oxygen from the blood and puts in carbon monoxide, that's why you can feel dizzy, sickness, makes you throw up and collapse.
- WHAT CAN WE DO TO PROTECT OURSELVES?
1.The most important thing is to have application to track air pollution. (for example - Air Visual) and try to be informed all the time.
2. Try to not go out outside if you don't have a reason if the number of air pollution is high. If it's necessary, try to use mask with filter, it can help somehow. And after you come home,drink one cup of milk, it can help to wash your lungs off. Usual levels of air pollution are:
0 - 50 - good air
50 - 100 - moderate
100 - 150 - unhealthy for sensitive groups
150 - 200 - very unhealthy
200 - ***** - hazardous
3. The best invention is to buy air cleaner. It can be a little bit pricey, but, medicine can cost you more. And try to find the air cleaner with HEPA filter.
4. Your immune system is the most important. Drinking water is a must, (2l daily aprox.) and vitamins. Vitamins C and E, omega 3 and vitamin B. Energize your immune system, protect your lungs, heart, brain.
You can find your own way to help yourself, those things are just tips for you. But, the most important is to open our eyes widely and try to open others, help our planet to be better place for living, protect our family, animals, plants, water. Then, the air will be better.
