List of romantic songs and interesting facts

Love is everywhere, especially when you really know that terrible 2020 passed and it will never come back. This year is going to be full of excitement, joy and happiness.

You should be happy to try to make this Valentine's day special. In last couple of blogs, I wrote some ideas, but this one is special. Make that night full of romance and sexual tension. Make this love special than ever.

ALICIA KEYS - IF I AIN'T GOT YOU

This Grammy winner in 2005 made amazing reputation in music. And this great song has a story. Inspiration was in beautiful singer Aaliyah who died in airplane crash in 2001. Alicia was completely crashed emotionally and she was inspired by her to make this song. We will always remember her every time when we listen this song.

JOURNEY - FAITHFULLY

Journey is one of the best rock bands of all time. Especially during times when the leader singer was Steve Perry "The voice". This song is pretty interesting because Journey's keyboard player Jonathan Cain had a challenge in his life with his marriage to make it strong, because he traveled a lot. One day it was just a moment where he wrote the song on napkin, and that was it. Challenge is everything if you care.. Remember that.

LIONEL RICHIE & DIANA ROSS - ENDLESS LOVE

When you have two puzzles fit perfectly to each other, that we can say Lionel and Diana did in this song. But, personally I don't know is this the best mix or Luther Vandross and Mariah Carey.

This song was from the 1981 film of the same name starring Brooke Shields. The film, which was based on a best-selling novel of the same name, was not very successful, but the song received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations and won a Marquee Award in 1982 for Best Original Song.

BOYZ II MEN - I'LL MAKE LOVE TO YOU

This perfectly picked and combined group of powerful and handsome of men made a huge success in 1994 in USA. This group won the 1994 Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. Mariah Carey wanted to grab them, because she knew that their voices is going to make a power. And they did. With song "One sweet day" they were No.1 over 16 weeks. "I'll make love to you" has everything, romantic note with enormous sexual tension.

WHITNEY HOUSTON - GREATEST LOVE OF ALL

For this woman, no need any compliment or any words. Her name and last name is enough. This powerful song must be sang by powerful voice. It's powerful because songwriter Linda Creed wrote this song after recovering from breast cancer. Masser and Creed wrote this for the 1977 film biography of Muhammad Ali," The greatest" , and the song first appeared on the film's soundtrack recorded by George Benson. But, Whitney made this song hers. Power and love.

MICHAEL BOLTON - WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN

If you didn't know ladies and gentlemen, this phenomenal song is actually song of Soul singer Percy Sledge originally recorded in 1966. Michael Bolton wanted to make a official remake of this golden song, and when he bring back to life this amazing song, it was the most wanted song on wedding first dance. It's amazing and interesting to pick that amazing track for your first song as a husband and wife.

EN VOGUE - DON'T LET GO

All-female R&B group En Vogue originally recorded this song for the soundtrack of the crime movie Set It Off. The song became their biggest international hit peaking in the top ten in many countries, topping the Billboard R&B chart for one week and the Norwegian singles chart for six weeks. Song who has a power, sex appeal, strength. Best song on 90's.

CELINE DION - BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME

The song was written for the movie Up Close & Personal. It was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award and won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media. I mean, it's impossible to not be awarded because of singer and power of the voice of course. Because of the power and strength for love, this song is also chosen as wedding song.

SHINEAD O' CONNOR - NOTHING COMPARES 2 U

Prince wrote and recorded this song in 1984, but didn't release it. Instead, he gave it to The Family, a band that was signed to his Paisley Park record label. They recorded the song in 1985, with their singer Paul Peterson handling the vocals. According to Peterson, he was asked to sing it in the style of Prince. To get the right emotion, he thought about a girl named Julie who broke his heart in high school. "Nothing Compares 2 U" earned her a Grammy for Best Alternative Performance, but she refused to appear on the awards show in protest of materialism in the music industry.

MARIAH CAREY - WITHOUT YOU

This gut-wrenching ballad was originally released by Badfinger in 1970 and appeared on their second album, No Dice. Wow, that was new... Who didn't know, here you go. Nilsson died of heart failure on January 15, 1994 - the same day Carey's version was released in the US. Later in 1994, Nilsson's version was reissued to take advantage of the renewed interest. That was emotional.
